A dress and a vest

It’s been a while since I have posted, but now that all the holiday hoopla is over I can get back to showing off my favorite outfits again!

This is always a weird time of year. It’s still cold out but you’re starting to get tired of layers and layers of winter clothes. Spring things have already started to hit stores and all I want to do is wear all these adorable spring dresses! Here is when a trusty vest comes in handy. I can wear my more springy looks and still be ready for that chilly weather.

We went to the zoo yesterday and I sported this amazing fur vest with my plaid dress. And since we were going to the zoo, I threw on some leopard tights too 😉

Today was just too beautiful not to be outside, so we went to lunch and a walk in the park. This little shirt dress and shearling vest were perfect for a casual Sunday.

Holiday Dress: long sleeve feather dress

I’ve only been around for one Christmas, but I’m pretty sure I love the holiday season. One of the best things about this time of year are pretty holiday dresses! Sparkles, tulle, metallics and lace? Yes, please!

This dress from Target is a great way to get in the holiday mood with metallic gold feathers and pretty pleats. I love this dress because you can dress it up or down depending on what you pair with it. I chose the dressier route with these polka dot tights, gold fur boots and gold lace headband.

Bonus Look:

After I took my pictures for this post, I needed a more casual outfit I could go play in the park in, so I kept my tights and boots on and threw on a lace skirt and this adorable bunny sweater. I love mixing prints and dressy pieces (lace skirt) with more casual looks (bunny sweater). It makes an outfit interesting without having to try too hard.

Walking in a winter wonderland: Gap deer print dress

Another snow, another perfect winter outfit. Faux fur is my winter go-to accessory. It adds instant glamour…and it feels great too! I see mommy wear faux fur scarves all the time so when I saw this one at Janie and Jack in my size, I had to have it! It pairs well with a lot of outfits especially this adorable Gap Deer Print Dress. A good critter print is always a must, but especially if it’s a woodland critter since they are on trend for winter.
